More than ever, organizations are becoming increasingly aware of the critical importance of creating psychologically healthy and safe work environments. Civility and respect is one of the 13 psychosocial factors that are encompassed within the best practice frame of the CSA National Standard for Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace. However, it’s a factor that cuts across all elements to the heart of mental health. This webinar will prepare participants to foster a civil and respectful workplace by being able to:
- Distinguish the factors that create a civil and respectful environment
- Recognize what bias is and how to diminish it
- Recognize situations and engage communication strategies.
Please note that this webinar is specifically for those in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector. Stay tuned for a future webinar for those who work in Community Social Services, and visit BC’s Hub for Workplace Mental Health for updates.
