The Primer is a great introduction to various mental health and addictions topics. Composed of 42 separate fact sheets, the series covers a range of topics from addictions to eating disorders, from children and youth mental illness to stigma and discrimination. The articles in The Primer are researched using the best available evidence and are written in an easy-to-read, magazine style with statistics, interviews and sidebars, and are intended for people with little or no contact with these issues
Designed with the aim to educate, the fact sheets are free to copy, print and distribute.The Primer is available in individual fact sheets, and as a single download.
Several of the fact sheets are also available in other languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi (Persian)/ Dari, French, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
The series was produced by the BC Partners for Mental Health and Addictions Information, a group of seven leading provincial mental health and addictions nonprofits working together.
